Information on adjunct professorships

According to Art. 61 Section 3 HochSchG, the president may, at the request of the faculty, confer the title of adjunct professor on junior professors after they have graduated and have proven themselves in research and teaching, on habilitated scholars on the basis of at least three years of proven research experience, on other persons who meet the requirements for a professorship (Section 49 HochSchG) on the basis of at least ten years of proven experience in research and teaching after completion of their doctorate and training, and on outstanding artists on the basis of at least five years of teaching activity (provided they continue to teach at least two credit hours on average per semester at the university). The internal university procedure to confer the title of adjunct professor is codified in the Regulations for Conferring the Title of Adjunct Professor, dated 20 December 2021.
