Dr. Christian Grimm is the new central representative for biological safety. He has taken over the supervision of genetic engineering facilities at the University Medical Center and is available to provide advice on genetic engineering matters. You will find the necessary forms in our download area.
We consider the promotion of the work of our researchers, and in particular our early-career researchers, to be among our core tasks.
Specifically, we help with the
- screening of national and international calls for proposals in order to identify relevant funding opportunities and provide targeted information and strategic advice on development to researchers at all stages of their careers.
- Support in preparing applications for external funding.
- Organization of informational events on national and international funding programs for researchers.

The Acting Chief Scientific Officer of the University Medical Center Mainz, Professor Hansjörg Schild, publishes a newsletter every month to provide our institution directors, researchers and staff with up-to-date research and teaching news from the University Medical Center.The newsletter also provides information about the latest funding opportunities, job openings for professors, personnel news and announcements of events.
