Doctorates

The University Medical Center Mainz awards doctorates in medicine (Dr. med.), dentistry (Dr. med. dent.) and physiological sciences (Dr. rer. physiol.) in accordance with the currently valid doctoral degree regulations.

To obtain a doctorate, the applicant must demonstrate the ability to independently address scientific problems in the fields of medicine or dentistry and to work on these successfully in a sub-field.
