Recommendations for research involving sensitive data

The DFG and the German National Academy of Sciences Leopoldina have jointly published a set of recommendations aimed at sustained awareness raising in the dual use of research results, how to responsibly conduct research involving sensitive data, and how to institute self-regulation in science to achieve this. The recommendations address the potential conflicts between the need for academic freedom and obligations of academic responsibility.
