Two places, each for 6 months

As part of the FORTHEM Alliance, starting in 2022 students can apply for new exchange places in Palermo!
The FORTHEM project is an alliance of seven universities in Europe, including JGU, Palermo and the University of Valencia. You can learn more about the project here. The exchange places are allocated, however, in the same manner as Erasmus places.
Palermo is the capital of the island of Sicily and the fifth largest city in Italy. At Palermo, the Mediterranean is right on your doorstep and you can experience the city’s rich history, which dates back to the 8th century. Sicily is home to several volcanoes, including Etna, the most active volcano in Europe.

You must be fluent in English and Italian to qualify for the exchange program. The university also offers language courses for Erasmus students, which you can find here
