The Universitätsmedizin Mainz offers an attractive and successful teaching concept in its dentistry degree program. Thanks to the close interaction between theory and practice, the students are given problem-oriented knowledge and skills based on scientific principles and contextual knowledge in combination with a fundamental reference to patient care. The practical relevance of the dentistry education and training with the highest possible proximity to patients is the central maxim in the study of dentistry at the Johannes Gutenberg-Universität Mainz.

Information on the new Study Regulations since the 1st October 2010:
Since the 1.10.2010, the new study regulations for dentistry have been in force. Please note that examinations, which act as confirmation of successful participation, are compulsory. If failed, the examinations may be repeated twice and this also applies to non-attendance at compulsory classes/events. If you fail the assessments three times, this will lead to the loss of the examination entitlement for the relevant course.
Further information and the study regulations can be viewed at legislation dentistry. ('Rechtsvorschriften') (pages in German)
